This page contains descriptions of some topics for senior projects and theses in applied mathematics. Study of most of these topics will require the student to have a mathematics background in ordinary differential equations (equivalent to MATH 365), some experience with numerical mathematics (MATH 375 is sufficient) and programming in a high-level language (e.g. Mathematica or C/C++/FORTRAN). Some of the projects may also require some knowledge of physics (PHYS 232 is sufficient).
